Testimonials
These are some testimonials from Action Paws students:
We rescued “Foley” from the Human Society when he was one year old. He was willful, out of control and full of life. Agility training was the only way we found to channel his energy and teach both of us how to work together. Today he is still full of life but under control and a great family dog.

I have only been training with Meldona for 5 months and the difference in my dog's behavior is unbelievable! While Dakota use to have significant trouble focusing for any amount of time, she is now a successful student that looks to me for guidance during training sessions and thoroughly enjoys the practice. It is great seeing her wild energy being focused in a positive way. I am learning just as much as Kota and it is a great bonding experience for us both.
Thanks for everything!

Agility has been quality, fun, family times for us. We have a pit bull mix. We first started agility to burn off some of Livy’s abundant energy and we thought she would be good at it. She was good at it and she loves it! We like it too! It’s great to wake up on Saturday and go run around and play with your dog. We feel that we have better control over her now also. She’s better at listening to us and better around other dogs. It challenges Livy mentally, which wears her out differently than just playing ball or going for a walk. Agility has also taught us how to train a dog to behave well. Instead of being embarrassed by her behavior at times, and avoiding situations, we now like to put Livy in those situations to train her to be listening and obeying us. Working on the basics of training (sits, downs, stays, and comes,) at home regularly helps you get better at agility fast and it just helps to have a more enjoyable dog. I don’t know if we would have loved agility as much if we would have had a different teacher. We have had a great experience working with Meldona and really learned a lot from her. She is also welcoming to all breeds and does a good job at attacking behavior issues head on, while having fun.

Please click here for Magnum's story, his transformation doing agility has been truley remarkable and shows how powerful agility is for dogs with special issues.

I have really enjoyed doing agility with my two dogs, Patch and Sasha. It has been a good bonding time with them. Both of them are rescue dogs. When I first got Sasha, she was terrified of everything. It was about 2 months before she was comfortable with me. After a basic obedience class, I started her (and me) in agility training. She hid behind me, wouldn’t interact with anyone, not even taking treats. She would pull away, run if someone approached her. The first few classes, we were separate from the rest of the class and learned to do the table. It was several classes before we joined the rest of the class and she jumped up on the big table. She slowly progressed in learning the obstacles until now she loves to go to class and has fun doing the courses. She has gained a lot of confidence and is now more comfortable with people approaching her and with other dogs. We wish we would have videoed her from the beginning. What a different dog! Thank you Meldona for your patience and guidance with her.

Addy and I are so happy we started agility with Meldona. We have so much fun going to class and learning new things. Meldona does a great job of helping you figure out how to communicate best with your dog. Agility is such a fun sport and a really great way to spend time with your dog. I highly recommend classes at Action Paws!
